Okay, so for all my "book-smarts" and relative success academically, I apparently have very little common sense. In fact, if someone else told me this story, I would say that they were "Dumb with a capital Ummmm."
However... I just spent the last hour taking my phone to the Verizon store and getting the tech support guy to look it over because I couldn't get it to turn on.
As it turns out...it wasn't charged. Ooops.

I worked at an Electronics store when I was younger. We often recieved call about defective merchandise from the elderly. We were trained that the first question you always asked was 'Is the item in question plugged into an appropriate power source?'. 9 times out of 10 it wasn't. So don't feel bad. It may not be a common sense or dumb with an Uuuummm thing. You may just be elderly.

I'm so dumb that I often wonder why more people don't fall on their asses going UP the stairs like I do.
