Alyson,
As allways great job on the website and what wonderful information on your game world...just goes to show you that with some preperation and hard work you can create an emersive enviroment that will let people get into their characters and feel emotionaly involved. I really appreciate all of the effort you have put into this and your friendships. I count myself lucky for having met you.

another quick question:
why isn't gaelic phonetic? why do they have to spell banshee like something you'd order along with a burrito at taco bell?

It's simple Gaelic was translated into ENglish by the English. So the swine decided to insure that no one would ever understand it.
Sadly the Irish have bought into it as well. Although it also means that the Irish now have a language that borders on Navajo for security.

Hmm...I hear the English also brought "the damp" to Ireland.

The wet weather. The cloudy, overcast skies. It's the idea that Ireland was a place of good weather and eternal sunshine prior to the English occupation. I think that phrase is used in "Angela's Ashes", but I could be thinking of a different movie.
