* - The Missing Voice: At this level, you may “throw” your voice anywhere within your line of sight, even carrying on two conversations simultaneously, one with your missing voice, and one with your actual voice. You may use this level quietly to whisper secrets across a room or use it openly to sing haunting double-voiced performances.
** - Phantom Speaker: At this level, you may project your voice to any one creature with whom you have more than a passing familiarity. The only distance limitation is that if you are in the fae lands, you may only use this to speak to those also in the fae lands and the same is true for when you are on the earth-world. The sounds are inaudible to anyone but the target of this birthright as you are not speaking to their ears as much as to their inner spirit. Unless your target is also a siren, she may not have an immediate way to send a reply.
*** - Madrigal: You may now imbue your audience (those within hearing range) with an emotion of your choosing. The song may be blatantly performed or subtly hummed, but either way a section of those who hear your tune will become overtaken by the emotion you have selected. The emotion is a part of the song and your targets will react with the emotion in accordance to their own natures.
**** - Siren’s Beckoning: At this level, your song reaches deep into the psyche of your target, causing them to become wracked with temporary madness. The song repeats itself in the mind of your target and they are inflicted with a derangement of the Storyteller’s choice which lasts until the following dawn.
For the 5th dot of Siren Song, I like a lot of these, so I wrote them all up and you can choose the one you like best:
***** - Virtuosa: At this level, you may use the birthrights of Phantom Speaker and Siren’s Beckoning on more than one target at a time. Virtuosa allows you to project your voice or cause madness to a larger audience.
***** - Shattering Crescendo: Just like mortal singers can shatter wineglasses by finding the perfect pitch, you can use your voice to find the resonant frequency of almost any object, including a living creature. Ordinary objects can be broken in a 3 second burst of song, totally shattered in a 6 second blast, and living creatures take one level of what is essentially “ag” damage. Living targets must be within hearing range of your voice.
***** - Persistent Echo: At this level, you can speak or sing to the air and leave your words behind for a later listener. This can be either the next being to stand where you were when you left the Echo, or be directed at a specific listener. In addition, you may use any of the earlier levels in combination with this one to leave the power of a birthright behind.
